Pathways to Dignified Public Governance

The journey of the Doctoral Program (S3) in Public Administration was born from one fundamental question: How can we produce top-tier thinkers and practitioners capable of addressing the challenges of modern bureaucracy?

Established in response to the urgent need for high-level human resources in the public sector, this study program was created with flagship concentrations in Public Management and Public Policy. Our aim is not only to produce academics but also top-level public administrators, policy researchers, strategic analysts, and consultants who will be at the forefront of bureaucratic reform.

From its inception, we have been committed to a grand vision: “Developing Policy and Governance Based on Public Values.” This vision serves as the foundation guiding our curriculum and research. We believe that effective governance must be rooted in the values of public service, transparency, and integrity.

We consistently integrate global academic standards with local wisdom. Through this approach, students are equipped not only with deep theoretical understanding but also with analytical and practical skills relevant to national and regional dynamics. It is here that prospective doctors are forged to become architects of change in Indonesian governance.

Alignment with Scientific Substance

The curriculum of this study program is designed systematically and logically, fully aligned with the scientific substance of modern public administration focused on solutions. This program not only emphasizes mastery of administrative theories but also encourages direct application to solve bureaucratic and public service problems. This alignment is realized through alternative development programs that are collaborative and problem-based. This initiative ensures that every graduate possesses a deep understanding consistent with the dynamics in the field.

A Conducive Academic Climate for Scientific Development

This study program fosters a highly conducive academic climate for intellectual growth and research. The learning environment is supported by faculty members who are experts in their fields and actively participate in impactful research. The mentoring relationship between lecturers and students is personal and intensive, encouraging the creativity and originality of each individual's research. Students are given the freedom to explore innovative and relevant research topics and are encouraged to publish their findings in highly reputable journals. This climate ensures that every student develops into an independent researcher capable of making significant contributions to the science and practice of public administration.
